CNC Swiss Turning Centers HMP has the latest 2006 technology in its 9-axis Tsugami BU20SY, capable of making parts up to ¾” diameter in almost any geometry. Full C-axis on both the main and sub-spindles, live cross-working tool turret for drilling, tapping and milling. Includes optional face milling capability. Tsugami manufactures some of the highest quality machine tools available on the market. In addition, HMP has multi-axis Star SR-20R and SB-16 machines new within the last few years. All of our Swiss style machines have state-of-the-art automatic LNS bar loaders allowing continuous operation around the clock. Tolerances of 0.0005” and surface finishes of 32 rms are achievable with our equipment.

CNC Conventional Turning Centers In late 2005, HMP acquired the Super KIAturn 15LMS High Performance Turning Center with live cross working tools, sub-spindle and C-axis capable of making complex part geometries up to 1 ¾” in diameter. HMP also has a 2001 KIAturn 21 J50-L with LNS bar loader capable of making part up to 2 ½” in diameter. In addition, we have Miyanos and Mori Seiki turning centers and lathes.

CNC Vertical Machining Centers HMP has a variety of machining centers to machine plates, frames, cut blanks, castings or features that could not be machined during a turning operation. Milling, drilling, tapping and reaming are typical machining center operations. Our Hyundai SPT V30TD is a twin pallet, 14-tool machine tool that is ideal for fast cycle times with moderate amount of material removal. The Matsuura MC760V with its automatic pallet changer and 30-tool tool changer is designed to handle larger work pieces with multiple features. In addition, HMP has Fadal VMC-3016 and VMC 914-15 machine tools with 21-tool tool changers as well as Miyano TSV-25 drill/tap centers with 12-tool turrets.

Assembly and Packaging HMP has significant experience in product assembly and packaging and works with its customers to meet their specific needs in those areas. We have devoted over 5,000 sf of floor space to assembly and packaging operations.
